Another face in the lineup of household fairies, Lobs were unfairly maligned by the Puritans, who labeled them as both demonic and evil. Truly helpful and Industrious and near cousins of Hobs, Hobgoblins, and Brownies but markedly different in that their appearance was often taken as a sign of impending good fortune. Similar to their cousins, Lobs were enthusiastic help around the house, or the manor, for a bowl of cream of a few slices of warm bread. They seem most at home near a hearth, which they are known to sweep and tidy up, but are also known to tend gardens, thresh corn, and clean stables.
Fey Folk is Weston's interpretation of classic European creatures form folklore and mythology. All are hand-painted, cast resin. The Lob measures 5" tall and is made from cast resin and acrylic. Edition of 50.
Weston Brownlee has exhibited at Stranger Factory and Meow Wolf and is now diving into the handmade collectible scene.
